It’s hard to believe but Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we’ve got the scoop on how to kick off the holiday season at North Lake Tahoe with all the area feasts and festivities!

SPEND THE DAY SKIING OR SNOWBOARDING

Some resorts open their doors to skiers/riders before Thanksgiving Day, weather permitting! That means you can get out for a few turns before feasting with friends and loved ones. The big storm that brought over three feet of snow to the Tahoe region in October helped establish a good base for early skiing, but warmer temperatures have delayed many openings. Here are the ski resorts that will be open on Thanksgiving (tentative dates based on snow conditions):

THANKSGIVING DINNER AT LAKE TAHOE

There are many options in the Tahoe area for taking the stress of cooking and cleaning out of Thanksgiving yourself! Palisades Tahoe offers a sit-down Thanksgiving dinner this year!
