Tahoe Vacation Rentals reservations are not guaranteed until a signed rental lease agreement and deposit or full payment are received and acknowledged by Tahoe Vacation Rentals.
You may cancel your reservation within 24 hours of making it without a cancellation fee. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or more prior to the arrival date, you will receive a full refund. Cancelling between 7-14 days will receive a 50% refund on rent and will not be charged the cleaning fee or damage waiver. Cancelling within 7 days will forfeit all rent and only receive a refund for the damage waiver and cleaning fee.
Deposits and Payments
The deposit is made up of fifty (50%) percent of the total rent due, plus the administration fee of $50. Full payment is due 7 days prior to arrival. Full payment includes rent, 10% tax, damage waiver, and any processing fees.
Reservation Change Fee
All reservations that need date and/or property changes are subject to a non-refundable $25 rescheduling fee per change. All changes must be made 30 days or more prior to the arrival date.
Tahoe Vacation Rentals charges a $59 damage waiver in lieu of a security deposit. This $59 is non-refundable and covers up to $1000 in accidental damage. It does not cover intentional damage or destruction to the property.
Accepted Forms of Payment
We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Amex.
Guests are at all times advised and encouraged to purchase CSA Insurance through Tahoe Vacation Rentals.
Smoking is not allowed in or around any Tahoe Vacation Rental properties.
Minimum rental age is 21 years or older.
The maximum occupancy of your rental is the number the home sleeps, including infants. Guests must not bring more people to the property beyond what is stated in the rental agreement, on the TVR website or any other site listing the property.
Before Your Stay
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in is at 4 p.m., and check-out is at 10 a.m. During holiday periods, check-in is at 5 p.m. If you are arriving later than 5 p.m., your property keys and information will be stored in a lockbox at Tahoe Vacation Rentals office. If you are interested in checking in early or departing late, please call us for availability and pricing.
Tahoe Vacation Rentals Provided Items
Tahoe Vacation Rentals will provide a starting supply of toilet tissue, paper towels, napkins, trash bags, and a basic supply of linens. Tahoe Vacation Rentals does not replenish supplies during your stay. We encourage you to plan accordingly.
During Your Stay
Parking and Snow Removal
During winter, driveway snow removal is provided. Please be patient with plow drivers (they are vital to us all!) during severe storms, as they work hard to keep up with snow accumulation. Be sure you know the local laws regarding winter parking. Do not park on the street as you could get fined and/or be towed. Driving conditions may be hazardous as well. Please be prepared and take it slowly.
Maintenance and Housekeeping
Our maintenance and housekeeping staff work hard to ensure your vacation home is in tip-top condition. If you should discover otherwise, please report it to us immediately and we will do our best to correct it as soon as possible. Immediately notify our office at 530-583-3550.
Dogs are welcome at ‘Pet-Friendly’ designated homes. Dogs or other pets are not permitted at non-pet friendly homes. There is a nonrefundable pet fee of $100 for the first pet and $50 for the second, per stay. This does not include damage or additional cleaning caused by the pet.
Guest must disclose if they are bringing dogs or pets to the property prior to making their reservation. A non-refundable per-pet fee of $300.00 will be charged if guests bring a pet to a non-pet friendly home, and guests will be asked to vacate the rental immediately.
After Your Stay
Each property will be inspected and cleaned after your departure. The cleaning fee paid to rent the home covers normal cleaning. Any excessive cleaning charges will be billed to the credit card on file.
Lost and Found
Tahoe Vacation Rentals is not responsible for forgotten or lost items. We will do our best to locate and return any lost or forgotten items. Items left behind may be shipped UPS or FedEx with a valid credit card from the guest. Left items will be held for 30 days, and then donated to a good cause.
