Backcountry Adventure Center at Sugar Bowl
If you’re looking beyond the boundary lines for your next ski day, the Backcountry Adventure Center at Sugar Bowl has you covered. The guides at Alpine Skills International have partnered with the mountain to offer guided tours in the backcountry of Sugar Bowl. Whether you’re looking for a class to work on your alpine or telemark skills, or want to get off the lift lines and tour backcountry for the day, the BAC will help you get where you want to go, safely.
Snowcat Adventures at Homewood
At first glance, Homewood doesn’t seem like it would be the jump off point for epic backcountry adventures, but the mountain is the gateway to 750 acres of skiable backcountry terrain. New last year is the Snowcat Adventures program. These tours take skiers up on Ellis peak, with views of the lake and Desolation Wilderness, and full-day guided tour of some of the best terrain the West Shore has to offer.
