A huge blizzard is hammering Lake Tahoe just in time for the North Lake Tahoe’s Snowfest to kick off its 42nd year of a one of the most beloved winter festivals, taking place February 29 through March 11! The family-friendly festivities kick off in full swing with live music, food, and Snow Queen and Snow King court introductions! Enjoy an electrifying Friday evening of fireworks, snag a spot on the sidelines watching floats in the Snowfest Parade and then take the plunge at Gar Wood’s Annual Polar Bear Swim! Drink up after at Tahoe Tap Haus’ Brewfest and Block Party. Chill out with a fruity drink at the Sunnyside Luau after watching the dog races in the Dog Pull.

Get in on the action with Milk Jug Curling and Black Out Bingo. Then head to Pete ‘N Peter’s for Bar Olympics! Top up your wine glass while watching chain ice sculptures come to life via chain saws at the Wine ‘N Ice Competition. Give it your best toss in the Cornhole Tournament and golf your way through nine holes in the Alaskan Open Snow Golf Tournament.
