Celebrate Oktoberfest in Tahoe City on September 23! This family-friendly event has something for everyone from craft brews and Bavarian-themed contests to fun-filled activities for kids! Don’t miss the traditional costumes, live music, food trucks and craft vendor village on display from 12-5pm at Gatekeeper’s Museum. You can even dress up and run or walk the Lederhosen 5K this year!

Games and Brews for the Adults

Get ready to have fun competing in the stein squat, yodel contest and the weiner toss. Make Oktoberfest pretzel necklaces and fill up your commemorative beer glass with your favorite local brew. Stroll through the craft vendor village and listen out for live music and the sound of the accordion. Make it a day to remember and dress up in your best Bavarian-themed costume and you might just win a prize!

Fun for the Kids

Everyone will have a blast at this year’s Oktoberfest, especially the kids! Festivities include pumpkin painting, balloon twisting and even a coloring corner and story trail. There’s a wide-selection of Bavarian-themed on offer and of course they can wear a costume to the event, too!  

Ticket Prices and Getting Around

Tickets for the Tahoe City Oktoberfest cost $20 in advance or $25 on the day and include a commemorative Oktoberfest beer glass and two drink tokens. Use the bike valet services or come via public transport for an eco-friendly experience.

New This Year - Lederhosen 5K

Run or walk the Lederhosen 5K in costume at this year’s Oktoberfest! It starts near scenic Fanny Bridge and follows an out and back paved trail along the Truckee River. Tickets for the 5K cost $65 in advance or $70 on the day and include admission to the Tahoe City Oktoberfest.
