Description

A relaxing mountain vacation awaits you at this stunning, newly updated cabin in Tahoe Donner. The spacious open floor plan allows you to enjoy time together and enjoy the amazing views. The modern kitchen offers plenty of space for gourmet meals or entertaining with an open floor plan. When it's time to explore, head out to the Tahoe Donner ski and snowshoe trails or to downtown Truckee for dining & shopping.

Tahoe Donner Amenities: You will not be able to walk to the amenities at the Trout Creek Rec Center (Pool, hot tub, play center, tennis, etc) You will have to drive a few miles down the road.
As part of your rental, you will have 2 guest passes. Each pass allows up to 4 guests per card to access Tahoe Donner facilities including pools, hot tub, children's play center, tennis, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snow play area, golf, driving range, beach access at nearby Donner Lake, boat rentals, fitness center, horseback riding, campground, and an extensive system of hiking trails. Guest access fees are currently $17 per person per day. Children 7 and under are free.

During a storm or in case you forgot to pick up something head to Z Market for supplies or a warm deli sandwich. There's something for everyone and every season, from hiking and mountain biking in the summer to skiing and snow shoeing in the winter. So, after a few laps in on the slopes, relax on your private deck and take in the views. Either way it's easy to soak up the Northern California lifestyle at this cabin retreat.

*We provide a starting supply of toilet paper, paper towel, laundry detergent, and dish soap. We do not provide shampoo / conditioner / or body wash. Please plan on bringing or purchasing extra supplies for extended stays.
*We recommend 4 x 4 or AWD in the winter
*There is no air conditioning
* You will have 2 HOA guest passes for the Trout Creek Rec Center. Each pass allows four guests to enter a private amenity with a daily access fee of $17 per person. The fee allows unlimited access to all the public and private amenities offered. This can be paid at the Trout Creek Rec Center and a map of the Tahoe Donner HOA can be found in the house book inside the rental.
* Please note the sauna at this property does not function and is not for guest use.
* There is not a hot tub on the property. You will need to go to Trout Creek Rec Center to use the hot tub with the HOA pass. Cost is $17 per person for up to 4 people.

Important Information


In August of 2020 the Town of Truckee created an updated process for permitting. They will be strictly enforcing these policies and can issue fines ranging from $1,500 - $5,000 to guests for each violation. You can see a full list of rules on the Good Neighbor Flier by clicking on the link below, or by viewing the photo in this listing.

A Few of the Main Points:


1. QUIET HOURS: (10PM – 7AM) It is unlawful for any person to make, continue, or cause to be made or continued any noise disturbance or any noise plainly audible through partitions common to two dwelling units within a building.

2. FIRE: Due to extreme wildfire danger all outdoor wood or charcoal burning is prohibited, including open wood burn pits, bonfires, campfires, and charcoal grills. Do not bring personnel grills or portable fireplaces. When a National Weather Service Red Flag Warning is in effect for the geographical area where the short-term rental is located, all sources of outdoor open flame (including gas/propane/pellet BBQs) are prohibited.

3. TRASH: Please keep our bears safe by properly storing and disposing of trash. Do not leave food unattended in your cars our outside for any reason. Trash should be disposed of in bear-proof trash receptacles. (Bear bins and dumpsters)

Parking is limited to 4 vehicle: There is parking for two cars in the garage and two cars in the driveway
