Description

Location, location, location! This nicely updated three-bedroom condominium sits a short (one-minute) walk to the ski slopes of Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area. The condo sits at the end of the building and the views out of the big windows are lush greenery and beauty. The condo also sits adjacent to Alder Creek and it is wonderful to hear the water flow bubbling over rocks and branches. This spot is a perfect location to bring friends and family together!

You’ll be able to enjoy easy access to Tahoe Donner skiing in the winter. The condo is easy walk to the lift, so the kids (and everyone) can easily come back for lunch. In the summer you are in the middle of fun biking and hiking trails, as well as the Tahoe Donner Beach and all the great Tahoe Donner amenities (details below).

The condo is on the second floor of the building (hence the great views!) with external stairs up to the front door. The condo’s main floor has a living room, couch, coffee table, TV, pellet stove fireplace and windows filled with natural light. The open kitchen is adjacent to the living room, as is an enclosed outdoor deck with a small table for dining.

The kitchen has everything you need for some fun home-cooked meals including updated kitchen cabinets and appliances. The dining table and breakfast bar each seat four. The kitchen has a toaster oven, coffeemaker, blender, dishwasher and full refrigerator.

On the upstairs landings there are three bedrooms and two updated bathrooms, one with a washer dryer. The bedrooms are King, Queen and the Bunk Room. The second landing has the Bunk Room with a full bottom bunk, a twin top, plus an extra twin bed in the room. The queen room and bathroom are also on the second level.

The third landing is an open space seating zone, good for reading or relaxing. It is a good spot to work if you are on a little remote work getaway. The area has games, books and other wonderful distractions. The condominium‘s top landing holds the king bedroom and a bathroom. Both bathrooms have bathtub/ shower combos.

When you enter the condo there is a small mud room great for stashing boots, skis, hiking boots and other fun toys and gear for your time in the mountains.

*Starting 11/1/2022 there is no BBQ on the deck anymore, due to short term rental ordinance requirements for the town of Truckee.
*We provide a starting supply of toilet paper, paper towel, laundry detergent, and dish soap. We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. Please plan on bringing or purchasing extra supplies for extended stays.
*We recommend 4 x 4 or AWD in the winter.
*There is no air conditioning
*PARKING IS FOR ONE CAR ONLY! Parking is outside and not covered and there will be ONE parking pass in the car.
*The condo has two tall fans and a ceiling fan in the living room area. The TV service is Roku.

Tahoe Donner Amenities: You will not be able to walk to the amenities at the Trout Creek Rec Center (Pool, hot tub, play center, tennis, etc) You will have to drive a few miles down the road.
As part of your rental, you will have 2 guest passes. Each pass allows up to 4 guests per card to access Tahoe Donner facilities including pools, hot tub, children's play center, tennis, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snow play area, golf, driving range, beach access at nearby Donner Lake, boat rentals, fitness center, horseback riding, campground, and an extensive system of hiking trails. Guest access fees are currently $17 per person per day. Children 7 and under are free.

Important Information


In August of 2020 the Town of Truckee created an updated process for permitting. They will be strictly enforcing these policies and can issue fines ranging from $1,500 - $5,000 to guests for each violation. A Few of the Main Points:


1. QUIET HOURS: (10PM – 7AM) It is unlawful for any person to make, continue, or cause to be made or continued any noise disturbance or any noise plainly audible through partitions common to two dwelling units within a building.

2. FIRE: Due to extreme wildfire danger all outdoor wood or charcoal burning is prohibited, including open wood burn pits, bonfires, campfires, and charcoal grills. Do not bring personnel grills or portable fireplaces. When a National Weather Service Red Flag Warning is in effect for the geographical area where the short-term rental is located, all sources of outdoor open flame (including gas/propane/pellet BBQs) are prohibited.

3. TRASH: Please keep our bears safe by properly storing and disposing of trash. Do not leave food unattended in your cars our outside for any reason. Trash should be disposed of in bear-proof trash receptacles. (Bear bins and dumpsters)

Parking is limited to 1 vehicles: There is 1 parking pass inside the unit. There is no designated parking.
