They offer four different types of snowshoe tours: Full Moon, Sunset, Star and Guided tours! The Snowshoe Star Tour includes snowshoeing under the night sky with an astronomer! It starts before sunset and ends with the sky set ablaze with stars. This 1-3 mile tour lasts 4 hours and costs $85/person. The Full Moon Snowshoe Tour is rare as it occurs once a month beginning Nov 30th. This 3-hour tour is an easy to moderate 2-3 miles and costs $85/person.
The Sunset Snowshoe Tour captures the purple alpenglow seen on the Sierras as the sun sets on the mountains. This tour runs daily in winter. It’s an easy 2-3 miles making it great for ages 8 and up and costs $85/person. There’s also guided tours during the day for all ability levels. Choose a leisurely walk in nature or a more strenuous hike where you’ll learn how to ascend peaks for panoramic views. Ages 8 & up are welcome on this 2-5 mile guided adventure that lasts 4 hours and costs $85/person.
Tahoe Adventure Company provides you a clothing list, which is helpful for those who may not have as much experience snowshoeing.
