One of our favorite things about a midweek Lake Tahoe trip is the huge selection of happy hour specials. Here are some of the best happy hours offered in the area.
#1 - Drinks & Eats at The Auld Dubliner
- Where: The Auld Dubliner
- When: Monday - Thursday, 2pm - 4pm
- Location: 1850 Village South Rd #41, Olympic Valley
You've been missing out if you've been to Lake Tahoe before but have never stopped by The Auld Dubliner's happy hour. This Irish Pub is right at the base of the mountain and Squaw Creek Trailhead, so you can lead into your happy hour with a run or a nice hike. Enjoy $2 off draft beers, $3 PBRs, $5 Red Bull vodkas, $5 Two Towns Ciders, and a special bucket/shot combo with 6 shots and 6 beers for $40. They also offer great deals on eats like artichoke dip, fish tacos, curry chips and reuben style fries.
#2 - Margaritas at The Blue Agave

There's just something about lakes that call for margaritas... am I right? The Blue Agave has been voted the best Mexican restaurant in North Lake Tahoe, and they offer a great happy hour at their cantina. Stop by Sunday through Thursday from 4pm - 6pm for $3 off pitchers of margaritas and beer, and $4.50 shots of Jager, Rumple and Hornitos.
#3 - Classy Fare at Jake's on the Lake

- When: Sunday - Friday, 4:30pm - 6:30pm (excludes holidays)

Jake's on the Lake serves up classy treats based on Hawaiian and Californian cuisine. Stop by their cafe and bar from 4:30pm - 6:30pm from Sunday through Friday for $5 Chardonnay and well cocktails. Pino and a rotating red are just $6, and margs and a weekly special cocktail are both just $7. They offer a great selection of snacks and entrees at happy hour pricing, so if you're looking for a full meal this is the spot. Enjoy $7 fish tacos, $10 reubens, and $12 lobster mac!
#4 - Drinks & Wings at Moe's Original Bar B Que
- Where: Moe's Original Bar B Que
- When: Monday - Friday, 3pm - 5pm
- Location: 700 N Lake Blvd, Tahoe City
Moe's Original Bar B Que is the perfect ending to a bike trip, and it's right off the water so you can enjoy some views! There's a whole assortment of bike trails and bike-friendly roads that lead straight to Moe's. Once you get there, sit back and enjoy $5 wells, and $2 off premium drafts, specialty cocktails and wings.
