Come bid farewell to fun on the slopes and welcome fun in the sun! Pull out your sunscreen and get ready to air out those bones because it's Opening Day at the lake! Memorial Day weekend is the official kick off to our busy summer season, and we’re ready for the warmer weather to boat or paddle on Tahoe, or hike and bike around the 22-mile long lake.

Lounging in the sun not your thing? There are plenty of other ways to enjoy the West Shore: live music, scavenger hunts, BBQs, and historic tours are all on offer plus several lakeside restaurants kick off summer this Memorial Day with deck opening parties.

Or join in the fun with the sixth annual The Village at Squaw Valley's Made in Tahoe Festival where you can enjoy all things local (over 100 vendors), great food, and live music and performances. The Festival runs from 11 am - 7 pm on Saturday, May 26 and 11 am - 5 pm on Sunday, May 27. Family friendly and free admission.
